New Delhi: The much-anticipated journey of Ranbir Kapoor into the mythological drama ‘Ramayana’ has commenced. Set to portray the iconic character of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s epic retelling, Ranbir’s venture into this demanding role has set fans abuzz with anticipation. Amid the whispers about the film, some leaked images and videos from the sets have surfaced online. The photos offer a sneak peek into the production process.

Leaked footage from the sets reveals the construction of architectural wonders that will bring the ancient epic to life on the silver screen. A number of wooden walls and pillars can be seen in the video.

One such image, captioned “Ramayana Day 1,” captures the early stages of set construction, teasing fans with a glimpse of monumental structures reminiscent of the era depicted in the film.

While the shoot has begun with secondary artists, Ranbir Kapoor has yet to join the ensemble. Sources indicate his arrival will be on set in the coming days. Ahead of the shoot, director Nitesh Tiwari and his team conducted a small pooja ceremony, seeking blessings for a successful endeavour.

Ranbir Kapoor’s rigorous preparation for the role has garnered attention, with a viral photo showcasing his dedication to fitness and newfound skills, including archery training.


As the cast and crew gear up to bring this timeless saga to life, speculation continues to mount regarding the star-studded ensemble, with names like Yash, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijay Sethupathi, and Amitabh Bachchan reportedly in talks for pivotal roles. Notably, actress Sai Pallavi has been cast in the role of Sita. In recent developments, Kubbra Sait auditioned for the role of Ravana’s sister, Surpanakha.
