New Delhi: ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, a romantic drama film starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, has had its “scene of sex act” removed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
According to Bollywood Hungama reports the CBFC “reduced the scene of sex act by 25%.” Moreover, nine seconds of the clip were allegedly cut out of the list. The intimate moment, which was originally 36 seconds lengthy, is now only 27 seconds. In the latter part of the movie, the term “drink” has taken the place of “daru (alcohol).”
The CBFC further asked that the Hindi anti-smoking static message be included in the movie’s script, with larger, easier-to-read letters. On February 2, the CBFC approved the movie with a U/A certificate after the revisions. According to the censor certificate, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ has a duration of 143.15 minutes, or two hours, 23 minutes, and 15 seconds.
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon play the lead roles in the film. In the unexplored realm of artificial intelligence (AI), the film explores an unbelievably romantic tale. Shahid portrays a robot scientist in the movie, Sifra, a highly intelligent female robot played by Kriti, who grows to have affection for him and marries him.
Speaking of the film, Shahid said, “I was wondering why I haven’t done a love story for a long time. It often happens that you get back to back films from a similar space. But I wanted to do something different. The word ‘different’ is defined by this film because the subject is so unique that I never imagined doing it. So it is a very fresh and different concept for me,” the actor told reporters here at the film’s promotional event.
Directors Aradhana Sah and Amit Joshi wrote and directed the movie. It’s been produced by Laxman Utekar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Dinesh Vijan. ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ will be released in theaters on February 9.
